Recruitment of Foreign Teacher-School of International Education

LUT began to invite foreign teachers in 1985. Nowadays, there are about 10 foreign teachers at school each semester. Whoever loves China and Chinese culture, loves to teach and has the following qualifications is welcomed to teach at our university.

Qualification: Native English/Japanese speaker

Under 65 years old

Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree or certificate of TEFL

At least a two-year related working experience

Healthy

Contract time: One academic year (about 10 months) or one semester

Workload: 8 classes a week (one class is 100 minutes), 16-18 weeks a semester
Course: Oral, listening and reading English/Japanese

Salary: RMB 3800-4200 a month depending on qualifications (full-paid holiday)
Traveling allowance:RMB 2200 an academic year; RMB 1100 a semester

International Airfare: A round trip international air ticket for a one-academic-year contract

A one-way international air ticket for a one-semester contract

Insurance: Basic medical insurance and accident insurance

Accommodation: Free furnished apartment with all necessary living facilities, computer and Internet access available, shared kitchen

Starting time: The last Monday in February for spring semester

The last Monday in August for fall semester

Two reference letters

Note: Foreign teachers must enter China with a “Z”visa. Otherwise resident permit can’t be obtained.
