On April 25, 2015, School of International Education, Liaoning University of Technology, held the grand theme activity “The Great Wall and I---Excursion of Chinese Ancient Culture”, which means to let international students understand more of Chinese historical culture, enhance their enthusiasm to learn Chinese historical culture and improve students’ level of Chinese language. This activity consisted of 2 parts, one was the inspection tour to Jiumenkou scenic spot of Suizhong City and the zhimaowan Beach; the other one was the essay and photograph contests. There were in total 50 international students from countries of Russia, Congo, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, and Rwanda Burundi.
       It is a great opportunity for students to enrich their knowledge of Chinese culture. Students were listening to the sound of the sea and enjoying the sight of the beautiful scenery after climbing the Great Wall, in which they truly felt the lingering charm of Chinese historical culture.
       This activity was organized for purpose of making it be the second classroom for international students to study Chinese language with intellectual, historic and instructive experience, which made students go outside of the class and broaden their horizon. Meanwhile, though virtualized experience of Chinese culture, it would facilitate the development of LUT’s Chinese teaching and cultural diffusion.
