On Feb. 9 and 24, the School of International Education spent the Chinese Spring Festival and the Festival of Lanterns together with the international students.
The Spring Festival is the greatest and the most significant festival of all, standing for the reunion of family no matter where you are. This is the day when you will go back to your parents and cook dumplings together as the sign of the happiness among your family. For thousands of years, we Chinese inherit the tremendous cultural phenomenon.
The Festival of Lanterns is the continuing climax and the end of the Spring Festival. People get together to watch a variety of colorful lanterns to celebrate the whole new beginning of the New Year.
The teachers in School of International Education bought Chinese traditional festival food dumplings and rice-glue balls for the international students and taught them how to cook as a celebration here to make all the international students engage in our culture.
