Materials Processing Technology consists of three research directions:
1. Metal solidification theory and control technology: aiming at studying solidification process and control technology of continuous casting, to build the interface stability dynamic theory under alternating current through solid-liquid interface, to develop high efficient continuous casting technology and combined continuous casting ingot method with downdrag opposite direction solidification.
2. Liquid metal structure and external field treatment technology: aiming at studying liquid metal structure under external field treatment, research of solidification theory and its application, new preparation method of ultra-fined powder, the process of sea water desalination, research of solar cell, newly process of water treatment.
3. New technology of nearly net forming of material: aiming at studying the preparation of semi-solid metal mud of Aluminum and Magnesium alloy and its processing technology along with its application in components and parts of auto-industry.
