Machinery manufacturing and automation consists of three research directions:
1). Computer aided design and manufacturing: The use of parallel engineering principle, integrated technology, simulation technology, engineering database technology, the development of practical CAD/CAPP/CAM system.
2). Machining process monitoring and testing technology: the mechanical processing and other industrial engineering of state detection, fault diagnosis, real-time control technology.
3). Modern machining and virtual manufacturing technology: CNC technology, CAD/CAM, cutting theory, structure analysis and so on as the foundation, the computer simulation technology is the core of the processing and manufacturing process of virtual manufacturing system.
